  • Prayer of Humble Access is found in the Holy Eucharist, Rite I, BCP page 377:
"We do not presume to come to this thy Table, O merciful Lord, trusting in our own righteousness, but in thy manifold and great mercies. We are not worthy so much as to gather up the crumbs under thy Table. But thou art the same Lord whose property is always to have mercy. Grant us therefore, gracious Lord, so to eat the flesh of thy dear Son Jesus Christ, and to drink his blood, that we may evermore dwell in him, and he in us. Amen."
  • What's with the musical cue at the end of this episode? Eucharist Prayer C is sometimes called "the Star Wars prayer"

  1. I used to recite the creed from memory (Sunday School Awards Season-1980), but I have too many edits I make personally so I force myself to read the words during the service so I can not say the things I don't want to say. I find my memory too comfortable and I realize I'm not really listening to it, but that is my failure of mindfulness.

  2. "Star WARS canon"?! You betray your youth, my friends! When it first appeared in the early 1970s, it was the "Star TREK canon"! (*wink*)
